In time for our 2025 Bicentenary celebrations, we're partnering with some fantastic charities in a major new fundraising initiative.

The Lansdown Cricket Club 200 for 200 Campaign

In time for the Bicentenary year in 2025, Lansdown Cricket Club are launching a huge local charity drive.

2025 represents a huge marker in our Club’s history - Lansdown Cricket Club has been at the heart of Sport and Community inclusion for two centuries. As part of that celebration and to use the occasion to help local charities, we’re setting a challenge to raise Two Hundred Thousand Pounds for our Two Hundred Years of History.

We are partnering with Dorothy House Hospice Care and RUHX (The Official Charity of The Royal United Hospital) as the primary beneficiaries of the campaign. Both of these wonderful charities have touched many, if not all of us in our lives. The work they do in caring for us and our loved ones is immeasurable. We hope that LCC members and the wider community in Bath will share with us our desire to make a difference to the work they do, for us.

Alongside those two great causes, there will be some secondary charities based on youth cricket and sports provision in our City. These will be announced shortly.

The Lansdown Cricket Club 200 for 200 campaign with be launched on May 4th 2024 and we’re targeting the end of 2025 to achieve our goal.

So how are we going to do this and how can you get involved?

Alongside Dorothy House and RUHX, we’re busy planning a schedule of events and activities over the coming 21 months or so. We’ll be promoting these as they come along but there’s loads of fun projects in progress, from Fire Walks, to Family Fun Days and a VERY Big Bike Ride planned for May 2025 with a Lansdown team cycling to every test cricket ground in England. Read more about how you can get involved in that that HERE

The Launch weekend in May coincides with the first League fixture of 2024 – our First XI home match vs Bath Cricket Club. The very next day, on Sunday the 5th May, sees an important occasion at Combe Park with the Inaugural Rob Parry Memorial Match between Lansdown Cricket Club and The Star CC to remember and celebrate our friend, who will always be sorely missed.

If you’d like to get involved or have any ideas of fundraising activities over the coming years, it would be great to hear from you. Please email scott@lansdowncricketclub.co.uk
