Last night Lansdown Cricket Club were honoured to be invited by The Right Worshipful the Mayor of Bath Councillor Michelle O'Doherty, for a formal reception to recognise and celebrate our Club's 200 years of history in the City of Bath.
It was a wonderful occasion where members of our club from every corner were invited to share in the celebration in Bath Guildhall's Mayors Parlour - thank you to all who came along.
It was a fascinating evening looking through artefacts donated to The City of Bath, including a medal presented by Napoleon III in 1867, the same year that LCC moved into Combe Park, our home now for 158 years.
You'll see in the group picture that 1925 Mayor Cedric Chivers portrait is overseeing the occasion, much like the Chivers Bookbinders which looked over Combe Park for decades.
As part of the reception, Lansdown Cricket Club President Mark Hobbs-Shoulder presented Madam Mayor and The People of Bath with the first our of Bicentennary Commemorative Caps, to be displayed in The Mayor's Parlour.

Thank you Madam Mayor for your hospitality and generosity, and thank you to the people of Bath for allowing us to thrive in our wonderful city, for the last 200 years.
Stay tuned for many commemorative events through 2025.
